Strengthening Towards International Accreditation: ACQUIN Team of the Physics Education Study Program Participates in SER Preparation Workshop

The ACQUIN Team of the Physics Education Study Program actively participated in the Self Evaluation Report (SER) Preparation Workshop as part of the preparation for ACQUIN international accreditation. The workshop was held on April 9, 2026, at Hotel Platinum Yogyakarta. This initiative was organized by the Quality Assurance Institute of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta as part of a broader effort to enhance the quality and global competitiveness of academic programs.

The workshop was officially opened by the Rector, Prof. Noorhaidi, S.Ag., M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the importance of a strong institutional commitment among all study programs to meet international standards as a strategic step toward achieving global recognition. The event was also attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Istiningsih, M.Pd., and the Vice Rector for General Administration, Planning, and Finance, Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Sodik, S.Sos., M.Si.

A total of 158 participants, comprising Heads of Study Programs, Secretaries of Study Programs, and accreditation teams from various study programs within UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, actively engaged in the workshop. This activity marked the fourth session in a series of mentoring programs for the preparation of international accreditation documents organized by the Quality Assurance Institute.

The primary focus of the workshop was to provide intensive guidance in the preparation of the Self Evaluation Report (SER), a critical component in the ACQUIN accreditation process. The SER document encompasses 14 key standards that reflect academic quality, governance, resources, and educational outcomes of each study program.

Through this workshop, each study program, including the Physics Education Study Program, is expected to produce a comprehensive SER draft aligned with international standards. The completed documents will subsequently undergo a review process by the Quality Assurance Institute before being finalized and submitted to the ACQUIN international accreditation body.

The participation of the ACQUIN Team from the Physics Education Study Program in this workshop represents a concrete step toward strengthening its commitment to achieving international accreditation and advancing sustainable, high-quality, and globally competitive education.
