The STEM Study Club in the Physics Education Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta serves as a platform for academic development focused on the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in learning. Through this program, students are encouraged to both understand and implement STEM approaches in designing creative, applicable, and real-world relevant physics instruction. The study club provides a space for students to practice project design, experimentation, and the development of innovative solutions to contextual problems in science education.
The activity is supervised by Nur Untoro, M.Si., a lecturer with expertise in science education and STEM implementation. Using a collaborative approach, he guides students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and teamwork through various project-based and small-scale research activities. The presence of this study club is expected to strengthen the competencies of Physics Education students in facing the challenges of 21st-century education, while also fostering a culture of innovation in science learning.
