The Physics Education Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga and MTsN 4 Sleman Establish Collaboration in the Fields of Education,
Sleman, June 19, 2025 — The Physics Education Study Program, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FITK), UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, has established an institutional partnership with Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 4 Sleman. The cooperation agreement was officially signed on Thursday, June 19, 2025, as a form of synergy between higher education and secondary education institutions in strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
This cooperation agreement covers the areas of education, research, and community service. One of its primary objectives is to provide opportunities for university students to develop their academic and pedagogical competencies through activities such as the Educational Field Experience Program (PLP), classroom observations, and research activities conducted in the madrasah.
In addition, the scope of the collaboration includes training programs and workshops related to community service, the development of science learning media, and cooperation in the development of educational laboratories. Through this partnership, both institutions aim to foster a collaborative culture that aligns with the spirit of the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative.
The Physics Education Study Program will prepare participating students through adequate pre-field training and will conduct periodic monitoring and evaluation of all activities. Meanwhile, MTsN 4 Sleman will facilitate the implementation of the activities and provide on-site mentors as needed.
This cooperation agreement will remain valid for five years from the date of signing and may be extended upon mutual agreement. Through this collaboration, both institutions expect to create a positive synergy that contributes directly to improving the quality of education and learning in both institutions.
